Police Hunt Three Suspects in Murder of Corozal Mayor’s Uncle

Three suspects are being sought in relation to the murder of Arnaldo Vellos, the uncle of Corozal Mayor Rigoberto Vellos. Vellos was shot in the Finca Solana area of Corozal and died while receiving medical attention. 

ACP Romero, Officer Commanding Eastern Division: “Police was informed that a male person had been shot.  The person was identified as Arnaldo Veos.  He was taken for treatment to the hospital.  Thereafter he succumbed to his injuries.  Investigations reveal that Vellos was  heading towards his vehicle when he was approached by two male persons.  One who pulled out a firearm and fired several shots towards his direction causing his fatal injuries.  We are seeking three suspects in regard to this murder.”
