Police Officer’s Vehicle Set on Fire in Suspected Arson Incident

A vehicle belonging to PC Lourdes Torres was set on fire on October 26, sometime after 12 midnight. PC Torres was alerted by her neighbor of the arson. We rejoin ASP Smith for that Story.

Stacy Smith, Assistant Superintendent of Police: “The complainant stated that she would have arrived at her home and sometimes shortly thereafter she was alerted by neighbors that her vehicle being a Toyota Corolla car was on fire. Police responded and upon review of the scene, bottles containing apparent accelerant were found and this investigation continues.”

When asked if this may have been a targeted attack towards PC Torres, ASP Smith stated, “The information that has been disclosed is extent to which the department wishes to disclose at this moment.”
