Police Probe $90,000 Westrac Heist in Orange Walk

Police have no leads in the Westrac robbery involving two employees, Arturo Cansino and Artemio Carpiso who were held up at gunpoint yesterday around 11 am and robbed of upwards of $90,000 on the Belize Corozal Road in Orange Walk Town. Sources say the employees were on their way to make a deposit for the company when two robbers on a dirt bike motorcycle intercepted the vehicle and pointed a gun at the employees forcing them to hand over the money. While police have not made an arrest, the company is looking at the incident to see if it was an inside job.
