Police Probe Continues into Belize City Murder of Richard Escobar Acosta

Police are yet to make an arrest in the shooting death of Richard Escobar Acosta,  37 a Belizean laborer who was gunned down on Nurse Findley Crescent in the Port Loyola area of Belize City. Neighbors told LOVE NEWS that they heard as many as six shots fired around 10:45PM on Tuesday but that they are puzzled as to who Escobar is because he’s not from the area. Police say that Escobar was ambushed by an unknown gunman who opened fire and escaped. He was then rushed to KHMH, but unfortunately, he succumbed. Police are asking anyone with information to come forward and assist in the investigation.
