Police Seek Ladyville Woman Accused of Cyberbullying Under Cybercrime Act

A Ladyville woman is wanted by police for allegedly using a computer system to cyberbully a 28-year-old, Aaron Muslar.  Rannie Young is being sought in connection with a social media post that police say was intended to cause public ridicule, contempt, and embarrassment.  Muslar told Police that on Monday, July 11, he received screenshots of posts made on social media where Young was making embarrassing statements about him.  Young alleged on social media that Muslar’s financial priorities and a lack of interest in his child.  Authorities are now actively searching for Rannie Young in connection with the incident. Cyberbullying, as defined under the Cybercrime Act, is the use of a computer system to disseminate a false statement with the intent to cause another person to be subject to public ridicule, contempt, hatred, or embarrassment.
