Prime Minister and Sports Minister Tour People’s Stadium as Part of Upgrade Plans

With a view to revitalize the country’s sports infrastructure Prime Minister John Briceño and Minister of Sports Anthony Mahler had a site visit to the People’s Stadium in Orange Walk Town this past weekend to assess its condition. The visit to the People’s Stadium, according to the Prime Minister, is testament to his administration’s focus on improving physical structures to meet national and international standards. For Minister Mahler, he says that his ministry’s vision is to create environments where athletes can train and compete safely and effectively.  Love News understands that the government’s plan includes a comprehensive upgrade of sporting facilities and programs nationwide, with major projects also planned or underway at the Marion Jones Sporting Complex and the MCC Grounds in Belize City.
