PUP Opens 75th Anniversary Exhibition Celebrating Belize’s Political Legacy

The People’s United Party’s 75th Anniversary Traveling Exhibition officially opened last evening at the George Price Center in Belmopan, celebrating the legacy of one of Belize’s oldest and most influential political movements. The display highlights the Party’s role in shaping modern Belize, from its founding in 1950 in the fight for social justice and workers’ rights, to leading the national movement for independence under the stewardship of the late Rt. Hon. George Price. The exhibition features archival photographs, documents, and historical materials chronicling the PUP’s journey from colonial resistance to nation-building leadership. The public is invited to visit and learn more about Belize’s political history and democratic evolution. The display remains open in Belmopan through Friday, November 7th, before continuing its nationwide tour. The next step on the tour is San Ignacio, Santa Elena.
