Jamaica’s national senior men’s football team staged their first training session this morning in Houston Texas, less than 24 hours after arriving on America’s West Coast to prepare for the Copa America tournament which is set to kick off on Thursday.
Jamaica’s opening game at the tournament comes on Saturday against Mexico at the NRG Stadium at 8 o’clock Jamaica time.
Defenders Wes Harding and Michael Hector are two of the players who are happy to be back in the fold with the national team.
Harding made his debut for the senior team in an International friendly against Serbia in 2021.
But he’s been out of the national set up for almost three years.

This will be Jamaica’s third appearance at the Copa and Hector has been in all three squads
He says it always a honour to wear the national colours.

Following the game against Mexico, Jamaica will face Ecuador at the Allegiant Stadium, in Las Vegas.
The Reggae Boyz will close out the group games against Venezuela on June 30 in Austin.
The tournament kicks off with Argentina playing Canada at the Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
