
A woman is dead, and her 9-year-old daughter injured following a fatal traffic accident in Santa Familia Village on Friday afternoon. The victim has been identified as 49-year-old Elizabeth Eleonor Carrias while the driver of the vehicle, Godson Kwame Evorwoshie, was detained by police. The tragic accident in Santa Familia Village in the Cayo District as Carrias and her 9-year-old daughter, Janet Rivera, were standing on the roadside when a silver GMC pickup truck, driven by Evorwoshie, lost control and hit them. The accident occurred on the main road entering Santa Familia Village from Billy White Village. The child complained of pain and was transported to the San Ignacio Hospital via ambulance for treatment. ACP Hilberto Romero, Head of National Crime Investigation Branch, noted that a urine specimen was taken from the driver.
