Canada’s former Olympic 100m champion and world record holder, Donovan Bailey, says Oblique Seville’s win in the men’s 100-metres at the Racers Grand Prix was a warning to the male sprinting world that he’ll be one of the contenders at the Paris Olympics.
Bailey, who was born in Jamaica, says Seville demonstrated perfect execution in beating World Champion Noah Lyles, in setting a world leading and lifetime best 9.82 seconds.
Bailey says Seville’s triumph has reignited the rivalry in male sprinting between Jamaica and the USA.
