Shenseea brought her mix of sensuality and edge to New York Fashion Week as she stepped out for Kai Cenat’s debut fashion presentation for his label, Vivet.
The Jamaican star arrived in a dramatic black-and-grey look built around texture and skin. A structured grey bra-style top served as the centerpiece, layered beneath a sharply cropped black jacket with exaggerated lapels and open, lattice-work sleeves. Below, an intricately woven black skirt created a web-like effect over the legs before dissolving into long, fringed strands around the hem. Pointed black heels kept the silhouette sleek, while her exposed midriff and belly piercing added to the look’s Y2K-meets-dark-romantic attitude.
“Well… I’ve been hearing industry comments that ‘The Jamaican girl can’t dress’ so I started participating in fashion shows to learn a thing or two,” Shenseea told World Music Views.
Her beauty styling pushed the outfit even further. Shenseea wore her blonde-and-dark hair extremely long, with face-framing bangs and a sculptural spray of black feathers at the crown. The result was theatrical without feeling overly polished — an appropriately experimental choice for a night centered on a new designer finding his fashion language.
Cenat, meanwhile, kept his own look decidedly understated alongside her. In the photos, he appears in an oversized all-black hooded ensemble with relaxed trousers, letting volume rather than embellishment define the outfit. The monochromatic styling reflected the streetwear vocabulary that has long been part of his public image, while its oversized proportions sat naturally within the aesthetic world he was introducing with Vivet.

The occasion marked a major career pivot for Cenat. Vivet Collection 1 debuted in New York on September 12 during New York Fashion Week, nearly a year after the streamer began developing the label. Cenat stepped away from regular streaming for much of the past year to study fashion, including researching runway history and production and learning about the process of building a collection. He told The New York Times that his goal was to bring the worlds of fashion and streaming together, making the runway experience feel just as immediate to viewers watching online.
The debut drew a crowd spanning music and internet culture, with Lauryn Hill, DDG, Karrahbooo, PlaqueBoyMax and members of Cenat’s AMP collective among those reported in attendance. Duke Dennis and Raysian Boy also appeared on the runway.

Vivet’s first collection also draws on Cenat’s personal history. He has said that elements of his Trinidadian heritage through his mother appear throughout the collection, while the wider brand is built around ideas of manifestation, discipline, learning, teamwork and faith. Cenat also opted for a “see-now, buy-now” approach, reflecting his belief that the audience watching a livestream should be able to engage with the clothes immediately rather than wait months for a traditional fashion-season release.
