Sir Richardson and Joel Wilson Named Umpires for T20 WC

Former West Indies captain Sir Richie Richardson and Joel Wilson are the West Indian officials selected for duties at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in the Caribbean and USA, starting June 1.

Sixty-two-year-old Richardson will serve as a match Referee, while 57-year old Wilson will stand as an umpire.

Wilson brings a wealth of experience, having stood in matches across all three formats of international cricket.

He was also a member of the 2015, 2019 and 2023 Cricket World Cup match officials.

Meanwhile, Richardson has been a prominent match referee since his appointment to the Elite Panel in 2015.

The two are among 20 umpires and six match referees, selected by ICC, to officiate in world cup.
