Sporting director of the Cavalier Soccer Club, Rudolph Speid, says the departure of captain Richard King, Kaile Auvray, Jalmaro Calvin and Dwayne Atkinson is a huge loss to the club less than a month before the start of their title defense in the Concacaf Club Championships.
All four played huge roles in the club winning the title last year after losing in the final the previous season.
King and Calvin have since moved on to St. Mirren in the Scottish Premier League, Atkinson to Rhode Island F.C in the USL and Auvray back to his native Trinidad and Tobago.
The 2025 Concacaf Club Championships is set to kick off on August 19.
Cavalier are drawn in Group B alongside Cibao F.C, Defense Force F.C, Juventus de Cayes and will also be joined by the runners-up in the upcoming CFC Club Shield Runners-up.
Speid says his players will have to navigate what he describes as the group of death.
Speid is also of the belief that the departure of the four players could prompt his coaching staff to alter his previous playing system.
