SSB Awards Scholarships to 90 Students Across Belize

Ninety students have been awarded scholarships from the Social Security Board (SSB) to further their education. The selection followed a competitive process, with more than 200 applications received. Recipients were chosen based on merit to pursue their high school, sixth form, and vocational or technical studies. Love News spoke with Communications and Public Relations Manager, Vanessa Vellos, who outlined the criteria used to select the awardees.

One recipient, Mary Reyes, who lives with spina bifida, hydrocephalus, and club feet, has not let these challenges hold her back. Speaking with Love News, Mary shared that the key to her success is never giving up.
