Sydney Peyrefitte Jr. is yet to be arraigned for the murder of former BAKA Town Gang Boss Kenneth Flowers known as “Big Tom”. Police say that sometime around 4:35 yesterday evening Flowers was driving at the corner of Mopan and Mahogany Streets in Belize City when an unknown man fired several shots at him. He continued driving into Sittee Street where he crashed into another vehicle. He exited his vehicle and later collapsed. Flowers was pronounced dead at the KHMH. It is alleged that the shooting was because Flowers was having an affair with Peyrefitte’s girlfriend.
Back in July of this year, the notorious gang boss took to social media declaring his renewed path as a voice for peace.
Big Tom: “Stay to positive. Stay away from negative. You understand? Sorry for the children that get hurt out there and the people that get hurt, man. You know what Imean? I can’t do anything if I stop that. You understand? I cry all day. I cry long time. I cry before I even start to smoke. You understand? I could as I smoke. I still cry too, because man see how they put one level up. Try to uplift yourself. You think you uplift yourself in a negative. when you’re watching yourself before you watch somebody else because you’re gonna start doing what the other person is doing. Try to write, try to speak right, try to talk right to the people that are wrong or not.”
Kenneth Flowers known as “Big Tom” died six days shy of his 48th birthday./
