Teen Electrician Charged with Robbery and Possession of Illegal Firearm

Angel Miguel Pineda, a 19-year-old Belizean electrician, was arrested for the crime of robbery, and  keeping a firearm and ammunition without a gun license. ASP Stacy Smith tells us more. 

ASP Stacy Smith:  “Pineda’s arrest follows police investigation into the robbery of Zunghong Store which is located on Savannah Road in Bella Vista Village. This robbery incident occurred on 19 October 2025 sometime after 11 a.m. where the merchant reported that two male persons, one of whom was armed with a weapon, entered the establishment and stole a total of $500 and a cell phone from him. The investigators have identified the other person of interest and he is now being sought by police..
