Thieves Steal $15,000 in Cash and Equipment from Ladyville Business

Police are investigating a major burglary at Triple L Construction Supplies located at 12½ Miles on the Philip Goldson Highway in Ladyville, Belize District.  In this case, thieves made off with almost $15,000 in cash and equipment.  According to reports, the owner, a 44-year-old businessman discovered the break-in around 6 o’clock Friday morning.  He told investigators that sometime between 4:00 p.m. Thursday and 6:00 a.m. Friday, burglars broke into his 20-by-80-foot zinc-roofed building and stole $12,000 in cash, and $2,000 in coins, as well as a black DVR valued at $800.  The culprits also damaged three Night Owl surveillance cameras valued at close to two thousand dollars.  Investigators found that the thieves torched the lock on the burglar bar door and pried open the glass door on the southern side of the building to gain entry.
