Jamaican sprint star, Elaine Thompson-Herah, will make her second competitive appearance for the season when she competes at the USATF New York City Grand Prix, on Sunday.
Thompson-Herah will run in the women’s 100-metres at the World Athletics Continental Tour Gold meeting.
Thompson-Herah, who won the 100 and 200 metres double at the past two Olympic Games, opened her season last month at the Wanda Diamond League meeting in Eugene, where she clocked 11-point-30 seconds in the 100-metres to finish ninth – her lowest ever placing in a race.
But the 31-year-old is looking to improve with the National Championships less than two weeks away.
