WI Lead by 23 on Day 2 in Warm-up Match

West Indies closed the second day of their three day tour game against the First Class County Eleven on 57 for 2 batting a second time at Beckenham in England.

The Winides lead by 23 runs after the hosts declared their first innings on 373 for 4 in reply to the Caribbean team’s first innings 339 all out.

Zachary McCaskie, 2, and Jamaica’s Kirk McKenzie, 17, are the men dismissed. Mikyle Louis, 28, and Alick Athanaze, who is yet to score, are the not out batsmen.

Will Luxton led the home team’s batting with an undefeated 112 and Harry Duke 46 not out.

Scores in the match so far, West Indies 57 for 2 and 339, Count eleven 373 for 4 declared.

West Indies vice-captain Alzarri Joseph took 1 for 33 from 10 overs.

The Windies are in England for a three Tests series starting on July 10.

Jayden Seales has been in England competing in the county championships and Joseph says Seales has a big role to play in the series.
