Captain Hayley Matthews fell one run short of a half century in the West Indies Women’s six-wicket win over Sri Lanka in the third and final T20 International series Mahinda Rajapaksha International Cricket Stadium.
The win help the Windies take the series 2-1.
Batting first, Sri Lanka made 141 for 7 off their 20 overs. Captain Chamari Athapaththu made 38, Harshitha Samarawickrama, 28, and Kavisha Dilhari, 26.
Aaliyah Alleyne and Afy Fletcher took two wickets each.
In reply, the Caribbean women made 142 for 4.
Matthews made 49, Stafanie Taylor 33 and Shemaine Campbelle 41. Kawya Kavindi bagged two wickets.
