Trey Williams and Mattea Issa are set to lead Jamaica’s team to the 36th Caribbean Amateur Junior Golf Championship at home at the Caymanas Golf Course in St. Catherine, from July 1-6.

The team was selected after the recent three-day trials at the same venue.

Williams and Issa were the winners of the male and female categories in the Boys and Girls 18 and Under age groups.

The full team include returning players with experience at the regional level as well as new entrants to the team.

National coaches Jason Lopez and Jonathan Newnham continue to prepare the team for the regional competition as they try to take hold of the Hank James country trophy for the first time.

Jamaica’s best position to date at the championship is second in 2018 when it was held here and in 2019 at the PGA rated golf course in Nassau, Bahamas.

The other members of the team are, Aman Dhiman Ryan Lue, Kemari Morris, Davin Hogan, Cameron Coe, Shasa Redlefsen, Kierra Williams, Olivia-Marie Green, Alessandra Coe and Mallaina Williams.

Noah Azan, Jerone Thomas, Jamal Stewart and Anoushka Khatri were selected as reserves.
